What is
the Dover Sherborn Education Fund?
In 1984, the idea of substantial private non-profit fundraising for public
education raised an eyebrow or two. Today -- after twenty successful years
and over $2 million dollars in contributions -- the Dover Sherborn
Education Fund (DSEF) has taken an untested idea and made it an enduring reality.
DSEF plays an important role in the continuing
excellence of our public schools (kindergarten through grade 12) by providing
extraordinary opportunities beyond the scope of tax supported budgets. The Fund seeks to
enhance arts, athletics and cultural enrichment as well as core academic curriculum.
Read the list of
innovative projects underwritten by
DSEF for the past ten years youll see how your contribution can help students grow as
creative thinkers and enthusiastic learners. The quality and creativity of the awards are
proof that the Dover/Sherborn Education Fund is a great way for you to Fund the
Future.

How can you help? The strength of our towns is based on the
active interest and involvement of Dover/Sherborn residents. This interest and involvement
manifests itself in community support for both people and programs. The remarkable health
of our schools, for instance, is maintained by the tremendous efforts of volunteers
involved with the School Boards, Classroom Assistants, and organizations such as the DSEF
Educating is not passive here. Support for
our schools is not passive either. Commitment is a fundamental part of what makes our
schools great. It is easy and effective for our families to deliver support directly to
the schools via the DSEF. Because we are an all volunteer organization, every dollar
contributed is applied directly to the needs of our schools, the educators, and our
children. Your support makes a BIG difference.
